Making Up For Lost Time

Hey, and sorry about the lack of posting, I've been stuck in bed with the flu since Friday and have stayed offline. Thanks to all of you who wrote me with letters of concern - and those of you who felt the need to whinge, well, sorry for getting sick, I'll try to not let it happen again! Sheesh...

Anyways, lets look at last weeks ep, 'Stranger In A Strange Land'. I'm not going to lie - it wasn't my favourite episode - but there were still some very cool things that happened that we should take a look at. Check out the secret clue video, if you haven't already.

Most excitedly, Cindy the hostess returned! Ever since she'd disappeared while trekking with the Tailies, we've wondered what she's been up to. It looks like she's aligned herself with the Others, but whether this occurred pre- or post- crash is anyones guess at this point. Could the Oceanic staff known about the crash beforehand? Was Cindy in on the plot, if there was one? And did she purposely try to get Jack drunk(er) to prepare him?

Hang on, not only did Cindy pop up, but so did the two children Ana-Lucia had taken care of, Zack and Emma. While they didn't do a whole lot when we saw them, it was sweet to know that Emma is still thinking of Ana-Lucia. I know I'm not. But what is the implication of the Others having the children and keeping them close?

So, when we heard Karl mumblingin the canoe, it became pretty obvious that the Room 23 brainwashing mumbo-jumbo has really done a number on his noggin' - he was repeating the line about Jacob. I did that once, when I fell asleep listening to KISS, and I woke up with 'I Wanna Rock & Roll All Night" in my head for, literally, the entire day... it rocked/sucked. And why did Sawyer just, ah, let him go? They could've milked him for more info, no probs...

Seems the Others have a sherriff named Isabel. Where she fits in among them, I'm not sure, though she definitely seems to be high ranking, even giving orders to Tom...

The Others also have a brand, given to Juliet to distinguish her. I dig how the mark is laid out, as it brings to mind so many different symbols that appear throughout various religions. Let me know what you think it most resembles - I've had 5 different people say 5 different things so far!

Also, we learnt that Jack is certainly not the perfect guy we once thought. After his marriage with Sarah went the way of the dodo, the good doc took himself to Thailand to "find himself". He might've found himself, if he hadn't spent so much time finding Bai Ling under the covers... or shoving her against a wall. Rough hands, Jack - watch 'em. It was interesting that she referred to him as a "great man" and a leader, two ideas we've heard plenty on the show but never linked together to Jack...

It seems that me talking about Heroes is bugging a lot of people, so I'm going to pull back on it a little. In fact all I'll say this time is - Dr Invisible Who RULES!!

Finally, I'll sign off with a picture ;) I'll see you Thursday - and thats a promise!

Namaste
