Hey, and another week, another brilliant episode of Lost! After a crazy week of hecticness, there is nothing better than checking with our favourite plane crash survivors and seeing if they gotten any closer to working out what the hell is actually going on! I have a confession to make - I've been sitting on some information regarding this episode for quite some time. I've also got some news on some upcoming stuff...

As some of you will remember, I got to go over to Hawaii last October and I actually was allowed onto the set during the filming of this episode! Before you get too excited, no I didn't get to visit the Others' set, but I was on hand for the scenes in flashback where Kate hooks up with her then-fiance, Kevin, played by everyone's favourite space captain Nathan Fillion. If you squint hard during the very first shot of the episode, you might make out the brim of my cap in the elevator door's reflection :)

I'm not going to lie - I was reduced to a quivering mass of fanboy when I got to meet Nathan. I was already psyched out of my mind to be visiting the set and having to sign hush-hush papers, but when they brought Nathan out to meet me.... Let's just say I'm quite the
Firefly fan but found myself completely unable to talk. Thankfully, he was a champion and had obviously dealt with a similar reaction at conventions before. Get this - he's a massive Lost geek as well, and watches the show religiously and avoids spoilers like the plague. In fact, we chatted about the fact that we were now having major plot points spoiled before our very eyes!
Anyways, I'm sure you've heard enough from me about one of the coolest moments in my life, but I had to share it with you, mostly because I haven't been aloowed to talk about it for 5 whole months!
*** We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming ***

So, not only was Kate married to the only man in history to out-Lando
Lando, but she learnt her old drug-the-meal/drink trick with him too! Props must also been given to Sawyer, who is now the offical ladies man of the island, having hooked up with two ladies within the space of a fortnight. I'm just hoping/praying the fate that has befallen so many of our other promiscuous ladies does not find Kate...

How much does Alex kick ass? Seriously, she just gets cooler every single time she appears. I mean, she came to break Kate and Sawyer out of prison with a slingshot! Bart Simpson would be proud. Plus, I'm positive it was her voice Jack heard through the "broken" intercom. She's the island's very own
Shanna the She-Devil, and I love it! I wish I knew why Benry was so interested in her before he was put under, though...

And big ups for Jack! When Kate begged him to do the operation I was worried that everything had gone bollicks-up, but this was not the case - the good doctor seemed to grow a pair in the operating theatre and took charge, throwing everyone in the deep end of a very dangerous stand-off! Sometimes, Jack, you can really come through... I have to say, I've liked Jack a whole lot more since we found out he was formerly a psycho stalker ex-husband, rather than the picturesque hero we thought he was originally...

I had to get a screencap of this shot, because it's amazingly beautiful, by far the best shot of the episode. It just shows how well the Others have broken Sawyer's spirit, the fact that he's simply given up... Good thing Jack's crazy plan seems to be working so Sawyer won't have to cop a bullet through the side of the head at the hands of
Buck.

So it looks like Locke has his next mission - following the advice of a piece of wood. I know, I know, the stick has Holy Scripture written on it, but still.... the dude can be a little nutty sometimes. At least he has a new direction in life - north. Not very specific, really.
Probably the most key information from the episode was the revelation that Benry is definitely not in charge. Make sure you've watched this week's secret clue, as it is all about it. Not only did Juliet and Pickett discuss orders from "they" about a change in plans, but Pickett revealed his disdain at having Jack around, considering he wasn't even "on Jacob's list." Jacob - I think we have a name for our enigmatic Him. Could this be the Patchy, the bloke seen on the Pearl tv screen last week, or is he someone completely else? Could he be related to Alvar Hanso - or could Jacob be Alvar himself, operating under alias? Gah! I must know! In an interesting side note, the biblical Jacob had a son, who went by the name of Ben...

So you may have noticed that Lost is not scheduled for next week. Over on the
message boards, I've seen a ton of you panic about this, worried that Lost is going on the same 3 month hiatus the US had to bear with. Well, I made some calls and got a definite answer - Lost will return on the
12th April, which is now less than 3 weeks away. When you think of the break we could've been forced to endure, I don't think this is too bad, considering the break is in place because of Easter and stuff...
A few of you have been asking where I've been, wondering if I've been pulling a magical disappearing act. All I can say is - keep the faith. I am working on something MAJOR - not alone, I might add - that I think is going to blow your socks off. I'll have more info on this for you next week, but trust me - your patience will be rewarded, in droves.
But as a reward for now, here is some awesome stuff that I reckon you should check out. The new Pirates 3 trailer was release this week - if you've not seen it yet, boy oh boy are we in for swashbuckling fun. Such a shame that pirates are my natural enemy... TMNT, the new CGI Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, comes out tomorrow in the States, but to tide you over until we get it, here is wicked TMNT sneak peek... Also, an exclusive, new Spider-Man 3 trailer is released at 3pm Friday on this page, you know I'll be there hitting F5 from 2.55 onwwards!

I felt so sorry for Hiro last night. He fell in love with a really cool chick, only to have her get can-opened by Sylar while he was in the loo. Good thing he can time-travel, hey! Mohinder is having crazy dreams, and Matt looks to have a new friend in Ted, the exploding man, becuase they've both been taken advantage of by the Haitian. Wow, that came out wrong...
And with that, I'm going to sign off and ride off into the sunset. I'm doing an interview in the morning for something very cool, related and yet not... I'll let you know how it went after, and then where you'll be able to check it out in a few weeks! Stay classy,
Namaste
