The Cost Of Living (Is high, I've been told...)

Hey, and let me kick things off by giving you all a hug, masssive, GINORMOUS sorry for going MIA this week. Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes. As I said in the last post, I was heading out for the evening - turns out my friends had an entire weekend of fun planned, and I ended up on a houseboat singing Bob Marley songs and thinking of Sawyer doing the same.

We headed along to the Playground Weekender festival, which was tops, as was seeing both The Host and Hot Fuzz, two of my most anticipated films this year. But it meant that I was afk from Thursday night right through to Monday morning, something completely unheard of in this ninja's mind, and it meant that I've been scrambling to catch up all week. So, once again, sorry!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming, and present this week's secret clue:

R.I.P. Eko.

I can't believe what just happened. Our mighty monster master, the one man to stare fear in the face and not back away, was picked up and tossed around like a child's plaything by a giant black smoke cloud. Not only that, but he was tricked into the situation by his dead brother Yemi - or, as I now suspect, Smokey using either a vision of Yemi or Yemi's actual corpse to mess with Eko and bring him to the brink of despair. It looks like Smokey's talent is revealed - he can take on the form of people from our Losties' past, which means everyone who thought Smokey was downloading thoughts from Eko last season - go straight to the top of the class! I think he was able to mess with Eko so much because of the amount he grabbed from his mind during the scan, but I think he's picked up enough to mess with certain survivors (I'm looking at you, Kate, Hurley and Jack...)

This is one seriously weird island. Last week, we learn that Desmond can see the future, and now we have a manifesting monster. Remind me never to fly again....

It looks like we have a serious turncoat in Juliet. She and Jack have started to grow a closer during his time with the Others, with her presenting him a sympathetic ear, but she showed her true colours loudly and proudly with the special video she'd prepared just for Jack. Turns out she wants Ben dead, she isn't the only one and her accomplices believe that Jack is the man to do it - by messing up on purpose during the tumor operation. That's so sneaky! Things are not all well and good in Otherville, probably to do with the fact their "comms have been down for 2 days" (Thanks Tom/Beardy). I love a good subterfuge mission...

We saw what definitely looks like another hatch tonight via the screen in the Pearl, and spied Patchy, another Dharma Initiative member. I bet it was his glass eye the Tailies found in the Arrow - it just has to be. But what's his deal? Is he an old mate of Kelvin's, or completely seperate? And how on earth did he know he was on camera?

Last night's Heroes was awesome, too. How great was it to see D.L. and Hiro team up (unknowingly) to save the woman from the burning car?  Micah has a power - he's a technopathic! Oh, and Matt had a run-in with someone like himself, who just happens to kill everything around him with radiation... If you were picking powers, I don't think you'd opt for that one. Though, telepathically overhearing your wife is cheating on you with your best friend isn't great either... Heroes just keeps on getting better!

I'm off to go and dwell on what just happened to Eko, and see if I can get my head around Smokey a little better. This second I've got my theory sorted, you'll be the first to know. The truth is coming, I can feel it!

Namaste
