Ninja clothing really isn't suitable for colder states - I think I might need to get my head checked out later this week... Well, it seems like not much has happened sonce I last posted - but after the stress Persephone was under to get her last message out combined with the threatening phone-in DJ Dan recieved, I'm not surprised they're both laying low for a few days. I did the same after we got Bad Twin out, remember? I'm sure one of will have something soon for us - and P, I hope you're still fit and fighting!
While I was away, I had the chance to mull something over. The password for the latest clue involving the shark was the word PARTHENOGENESIS - the growth of an embryo without fertilisation by a male. Random or what? And that got me to thinking... After The Whole Truth, I didn't know whether to believe Sun and view Jin as, ahem, "fully charged", or dob her in to someone about creeping around with baldy. Ninjas follow their own personal morals, and this ninja doesn't like seeing his boy get played. But NOW I'm thinking - What If this crazy hooplah over, well, a scientific immaculate conception could be responsible... Oh, where's Uatu the Watcher when you need him? And finally, for the news piece that I think excites me more than the possibility of Foxy in Rambo IV - Naveen Andrews will be appearing in Quentin Tarantino & Robert Rodriguez's Grind House!!! Now, you may not know this, but the ninja has a love of great B-grade films - and no one makes better homages to awesome genre films than those two. The film will be divided into two 75 minute sections, with Tarantino directing a 75-minute pulply slasher flick named Death Proof - nice - and Rodriguez directing, get this, a zombie film named Planet Terror! So, not only will you get two great flicks for the price of one, but there is apparently going to be 10 minutes of fake film trailers directed by the boys joing them! Wow, sometimes this ninja just has to flip out...
Naveen is going to be in Planet Terror as "a badass military scientist", so it'll be wicked to see Sayid in a labcoat for a change. Grind House is packed with horror and B-grade legends - Danny Trejo (From Dusk Til Dawn), Tom Savini (Dawn of the Dead) Mickey Rourke (Sin City), Michael Parks (the sheriff in Kill Bill 1), Michael Biehn (The Abyss) Josh Brolin (Goonies!), Rose McGowen (Scream), Freddy Rodriguez (Poseidon), and even Mick Taylor himself, John Jarret (Wolf Creek)!!!
