The Heroic Lost Ninja

I've only been married two months...

Hey there bodacious bastions of badassness, and first things first - welcome back! Did that mini-hiatus hurt everyone else as badly as it did me? Man, breaks hurt... but thankfully it was short and we're back for another solid slew of fresh episodes! In fact, from what I'm hearing, we may be lucky enough to race straight through the rest of the season - but don't blow up at me if I'm wrong, I'm just guessing!

Anyways, enough mucking about - this week's secret clue is up!

Wow... what an ep to return to! I'm gonna get this off my chest right now - I personally don't think Jin is definitely dead. Did you notice the date on the gravestone - 22/9/04, the date of the crash!

The way I see it, there are three different ways this could play out:

a) Jin died before the Oceanic Six left the island and they're covering it up from who saved them and the world.

b) Jin died assisting the Oceanic Six off the island and covering it up is part of their cover story and web of lies.

c) Jin is still alive on the island, having made a heroic gesture by insisting his wife and child get off the island due to limited spots.

I am hoping with all my heart that option c) is the way things'll go... lemme know in the comments what you reckon.

I've made no secrets about my feelings towards Sun and her treachery, but she went a long way towards redeeming herself with her actions in this ep. And Jin? Well, Jin has been one of my very favourite characters since season one and I can't imagine the show without him around anymore!

One for the guys - how amazing was the scene between Jin and Bernard? It appears that Bernie has become the new Locke in the camp, dispensing wise advice to those in need, kind of like Yoda. Do what Rose want, I must yes hmmm?

Did you spot the clues throughout the ep that Jin and Sun were flashing at different times? Not only did the store-clerk mention the Year of the Dragon, the last of which was 2000, but Jin was carrying a total brick of a mobile. Plus, you know, the whole walking around in public and not being recognised by every second person. The moment Sun was wheeled into the hospital she was recognised - the Oceanic Six are famous.

Major snaps go to both Juliet and Sun. Juliet, here is your award for possibly the coldest, harshest move ever pulled by a tv doctor, and Sun for the most impressive slap I've seen in a minute!

So, we finally met the freighter's captain and I wasn't sure whether to instantly accuse my friend of being a mole or just simply empty my pockets and show I'm clean. Grant Bowler! Sorry, I mean Captain Gault. And what a... forthright fellow he was, shooting straight from the hip and telling it like it is.

What's that he's got in his possession? The blackbox from 815?! This cover-up conspiracy keeps getting stranger, especially now that it appears Ben may be behind it all... Though, according to Ben's mole we should NOT be trusting him. We all know how listening to Ben works out though.

Did you happen to notice who portrayed Regina, the woman who read a book upside down and jumped overboard covered in chains? None other than Zoe Bell, best known as the crazy, hood-riding bad girl from Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof segment of Grindhouse! She's a kiwi, you know... shame we only got to see her for, like, 27 seconds total.

Now, who am I forgetting that showed up... I know there is someone...

Oh yeah - MICHAEL!

Or should I say Kevin Johnson?!

I have no idea how this happened... how did Michael end up on the freighter? Where is Waaaaaaaalt? And why on earth is Michael going by Kevin now? Altogether friends - WTF?!

Next week is way, way, way too long away.

One last thing for you, and slightly off-topic; I did an interview with Keanu Reeves on Tuesday for his new movie Street Kings. I love doing interviews and I definitely feel this is my best by far, so I'd love for you lot to check it out and lemme know what you think. Also, I asked him about Bill and Ted. Why? Because I'm awesome, that's why!

Namaste
