The Heroic Lost Ninja

You're so lame you couldn't even Catch a cold...

Hey, and OMG - how much do I love Desmond? I've made no secret of my love for the guy and this episode did nothing but reinforce it. I mean, the carrot of true love was being dangled before his eyes and he still wouldn't let his mate die... A crappy situation to be in, but he made the morally right decision nonetheless. Letting you know at the top, this is going to be another short post, so check back tomorrow for the super special Desmond's Dances With Destiny post, where I'll be going in depth on my theory about what exactly is going on with Desmond's time displacement and manipulation situation.

Secret clue is up!

I have to give my biggest shout out for the ep to Jin, as I've not laughed at something on Lost as hard as I did at his ghost story in such a long time. It was an incredible piece of acting from Daniel Dae Kim as, despite us not understanding what he said, we understood the intention behind it clearly. And when Hurley jumped, screamed and then began his own horror story, I was rolling in the aisle - he started telling the tale of the Chupacabra which, if you followed the Lost experience, you'll know all about.

My next big prop goes to Charlie, because he bit the big one and lived to tell the tale. Well, he didn't really, but you know what I mean. Desmond traded the neck of Charlie's guitar for his life, a fair trade by anyone's standards I believe. It was such a shocking way to start the episode!

This week's episode was written by Brian K Vaughan, one of the most accomplished and critically acclaimed comic book writers working today, and boy did it show. I mean, an arguement between Hurley and Charlie as to whether the Flash or Superman would win in a footrace? Hurley was totally right, by the way - there is no way Supes could beat him on land. I was in fanboy heaven. Can you say geekgasm? :)

As I said, make sure you check back tomorrow, as I'll be going in depth on Desmond's decision, his mysterious saviour, the monastery and the importance of the photo on Brother Campbell's desk...

Namaste
