You're not supposed to raise him, Jack...

Hey there titans of truth, and let's say it together - awwwwww! If you like romance, this was your ep... Or, if you're like me and like previously chipper dudes giving ominous messages from beyond the grave, this was your ep too! Something for everybody...

Secret clue is up.

I've got to be totally honest with you - this is going to be an unusually short post as I've had to drag myself out of my sickbed to write. Grrrr. Anyways, let's take a look at some of the key moments from the ep:

  • Jack is still competing with Sawyer off-island. Apart from the obvious, with Kate doing something she'd promised Sawyer causing Jack to lose his brain, even Aaron's choice of Star Wars toys causing Sawyer to come to mind. Not only is Sawyer our story's Han Solo, but he can channel his insults through others; Jack mumbled "Sonofabitch!" when he stepped on the Millenium Falcon! Oh yeah, and that ship has a hyperdrive that can manipulate time and space. Clue much?!
  • Daniel loves Charlotte, who speaks Korean! I'm calling it now - she works for Sun's father, Mr Paik, who is another power-player in the island hunt. I love the fact that she's super tough but, if you threaten her tie-lovin nerd-boy, she crumbles like a fresh Anzac bikkie.
  • Rose not be onscreen often, but when she is, you best listen up. In fact, Rose had one of the key lines of the episode when she was wondering why Jack would get sick the day before they're due to leave. As she says, "People don't get sick on this island, they get better..."
  • I've said it before, and I'm sure to say it again - Bernard is THE man. See his cool, calm method at putting Jack under?
  • Jack is a control-douche. How anyone thought letting him watch while they played with his guts is beyond me; the dude is quickly approaching Busey levels of insanity.
  • Juliet gave Kate Jack back. That was nice of her, though she still got to drop he patented line-that-makes-me-scream-HELL-NO-at-the-screen; she's cold, which is hot.
  • Crazy, beaten-down Hurley is the most upsetting character on tv. I can't believe how emotionally charged that scene was, and I really felt for him. Big props to Jorge Garcia for totally stealing the ep with a single scene.
  • Miles earned some major cred for his behaviour this week. Finding Rousseau and Karl was truly shocking... and we know once and for all that the Frenchwoman's a goner. I think Miles genuinely wanted to help Claire out with Aaron... but it may be because he suspects something is up. In fact,

I think Claire is already dead. I think she died in the explosion last week and, just like Christian, is appearing as she always had to those who had a close link to her at the time... or something along those lines. Either way, as nice as Miles was being, he definitely sensed something was up with her.

BAM! Major crazy theory. Mull on that one gang, and I'll be back with my in-depth thoughts on what is going on with Christian when I'm feeling a little more human... Stay classy :P

Namaste
