Why would I go to an island?

Hey and WOW WOW WOW. I'm calling it now friends - Best. Episode. Ever. Seriously, my head hurrrrrts. If you thought Daniel's experiment was awesome two weeks ago, if you watch the show for the weirdness or you just love a good ol' time-crossed lovers tale, then this episode should hold a special place in your heart now too. I've never had a stronger headache though!

Desmond for president, pope and deity. He owns us all. Sorry.

First things first - go check out the secret clue!

Second - boo hiss Widmore boo hiss.

So, the numbers were everywhere this week - did you catch them? Des jumped 8 years 8 times... Coolest appearance of the numbers yet, believe. And that auction scene was amazingly cool - how many tie-ins to Sam's search for 815 were there?! I almost lost count... anyone want to help me in trying to remember a few? I know the ledger was the same one that ended up in Talbot's hands on the Christiane I...

Well, you can read all about my theory involving a wormhole in the secret clue, but I want to let you all know how serious I am about it. I know in the past I've been flippant about some theories but this one? This is one I'm sticking to... at least until I get bathed in discharging electromagnetism, at which point I'll concede and say maybe they're all in purgatory or something.

I will, however, point out this awesome diagram of a tesseract in Daniel's journal. Drawing a tesseract is a way of trying to visualize the fourth and higher dimensions... reading the labels on the various lines, you can see he has mapped Real Time, Imaginary Time, Space Time and Imaginary Space. Interesting guy, that headcase... I'm pretty sure he's developed a way to become unhitched from time without needing an emotional constant, possibly from a pre-existing condition involving his memory or how he perceives the world. Is it such a stretch that the woman we saw in his home for his flashback was not his wife or lover but rather a minder?

I need to watch this episode again so I can properly wrap my head around everything that happened... which means we're all in the same boat, with a thousand theories floating around in our heads. I'm sorry I don't have more for you now - I'm working on it, and good things come to those who wait. In the meantime, I'm going to ask you a few questions and I want them answered immediately:

1. If 1996-Desmond's mind is in 2004-Desmond's body, what happened to 2004-Desmond's mind?

2. Why don't Desmond and Daniel remember meeting each other? According to Ms Hawking, the white-haired woman from Flashes Before Your Eyes, time is set and course-correction is in practice...

3. How did Eloise learn to run the rat-race if she died 75 mins after she was unstuck, only 15 mins later than she was supposed to learn the course... which Daniel didn't appear to teach her?

4. Is your nose bleeding like Minkowski's yet?

5. Did you notice anything that seemed to trigger the time-skips in Desmond? He was near water most times, but also seemed to touch a lot of metals... Any theories?

Finally, I wanted to let you know that my favourite moment of this episode is quite possibly my favourite character moment so far. As 2004 Desmond calls Penny from the boat, 1996 Desmond is walking away from her home. As 2004 Penny answers the phone, 2004 Desmond's eyes come into focus before we cross back to 1996 Desmond breaking into a wide smile.

I love this show.

Namaste
