What's the easiest way to teach a lion to be vegetarian? There isn't one. What's the easiest way to make a kangaroo go backwards? Can't do it. What's the easiest way to break up with someone? You'd have a better chance of reverse parking that kangaroo.

It doesn't matter what you do when you break up with him, it's going to hurt his feelings. There's no bigger heartache than the feeling of rejection. But there are some things you should definitely avoid when breaking up with a dude to save yourself a lot of pain, time and possible stalking.

If you're sure you want give your man the raw end of the stick you have to do it quickly and firmly, yes like a bandaid (I hate that cliche). Don't string him along because it's only going to make things difficult and awful. For instance, if you say I think we should spend less time together, that will just make him want to work harder for your affection and he'll probably bug you more.

If you get cold and start ignoring him, that's just asking for someone to be making random phone calls to you at three in the morning pleading and crying "Why?"

Don't ever tell him "It's not you it's me," because no one buys that. Off course it's him otherwise you wouldn't be breaking up. And don't do it via phone, text or email. If you are going to break up with someone have the kahunas to do it face to face. It's just common courtesy and he'll eventually appreciate your honesty. It will also make future axe swings much easier to handle.

Finally, if you are any kind of decent person (which many, many people aren't) do not cheat! That is the lowest of the low and it effects the other person much more than you could ever think (he says with a tear and a sigh). Also, if you cheat on someone it entitles him to throw cream pies in your face for up to six months (look it up people, it's the law).
