It was a strange sense of history repeating itself. England once again threw away a match they should not have lost!
"Oooooooooooooooooooh...," the Barmy boys will say when they read this but they know it's the truth.
The Fanatics were reeling at 6-60 in our Twenty20 match on Wednesday, and even with a late 72 not out from our saviour Bleakey, we still had only mustered 149 in tough conditions.
And boy did the Barmy boys start well! At the ten over mark they where 0-105, but like Adelaide, going slow and steady early on lost them the race.
But not to dwell on how pumped the Fanatics and their supporters were to take a three-run win!
The Army were soon cheering again, though, taking a 2-1 lead in the sculling competition. Well done, guys. And c'mon Fanatics! Let's lift our game. We were even drinking cold beer!
