Behind the scenes

My best friend was telling me about how she went backstage at the Christina concert and I couldn't believe my ears - she got to see the costumes, the set (before anyone else) and meet all the dancers.

Now, if the truth be known her experience did beat mine: while me and my beauty ed buddies got the absolute 5 star treatment, being chauffer driven out to the concert in stretched limo's (with over eager teenagers and a few random men waving at us thinking we where the star herself), got seated 3 rows back and were so close we could see her baby bump, I thought that our experience could absolutely not be topped - but apparently I was wrong!

Not only did she go backstage, she sat one row closer than us!!

Anyway, at the risk of sounding like a spoilt brat (which I'm not BTW) I got to thinking about the concept of going backstage.

I'm fascinated with the idea of seeing what actually goes on behind the scenes of movies, concerts or let's face it; the closest I get is the play at my local community hall. I mean why did going behind the scenes sound so much cooler than watching the concert from the 3rd row?

So, hoping that letting you guys grab a glimpse of my beauty shoot, will make my pages so much cooler than just your average spread, I made like a photographer and got to shooting on my day in the studio.

Meet Tim, my fab concept shot photographer who can make absolutely anything look amazing, his adorable puppy Beebee, and his assistant Nigel, who sadly jetted off to New York to make it big time in the Big Apple just after our shoot.

While it may look like all fun and games, we shot a record number of shots and managed to squeeze in our favourite Matsuri Japanese take away lunch - pheww, what a hectic day.
