Since being arrested this morning, Lindsay Lohan's life has fallen into freefall - her career is seemingly in tatters as she faces potentially six years in jail.
Her estranged father, Michael Lohan, has already come out and had his say on his daughter's troubles, and now it's time for her mother, Dina, to do the same.
Dina Lohan - often derided as 'the orange Oprah' for her over-tanned complexion and desire to be a TV talk show mogul - has said the following:
"I am sick over this. My children, my family, we are like prisoners in our own home because paparazzi is [sic] outside our house. Lindsay is in a safe place. We are trying to strategically work out our next step. We are doing everything in our power in support of Lindsay and I won't give up. This is my daughter and we love her. We are waiting for the press frenzy to die down and leave her alone. Please respect our privacy."
Dina of course has a history of airing her family's grievances on public platforms, and this most recent message was, of course, delivered via the medium of television on 'The Insider'.
Do you think Dina should speak further about her daughter's troubles?
