Skies are clearing up here in Beijing. The Water Cube is an amazing building, it's fantastic to finally be here.

As a team we are hoping to do well and hopefully there will be some support in the crowd, of course a lot of our parents are here, so it will be great.

The village is fantastic and everyone has settled in well. I'm really looking to the challenges ahead, both individually and in the relays, I expect USA to do well with Michael Phelps leading the way. ...

Hi Everyone

I'm writing to you on my Lenovo notebook from my hotel room in Barcelona.

That's right, I'm in Europe at the moment in the middle of a three and a half week training and competition tour.

The trip started in Rome with a week of tough training. I didn't feel 100% for the first few days, but slowly adjusted and ended up doing some good work in the pool.

Well I am one month closer to the biggest meet of my life so far, and things are going great.

Apart from a minor back problem during our Olympic Orientation camp, I have put together a good three week block of training that sets me up well for the months to come.

Coming up in a few weeks, I am doing a tour of Europe. The tour consists of a week and a half training camp in Rome, then three meets in Rome, Barcelona and Canet. ...

Well the long and nervous wait is finally over... I qualified for my second Olympics! It is something that I felt I would never achieve once in my life, let alone twice.

I am so happy and excited for the year ahead, I feel a lot more deserving this time around as opposed to 2004 where a combination of the right place at the right time and hard work lead me to being the youngest male on the team. ...

Well its crunch time, this is where the last four years of training are put to the test.... The only chance I have to qualify for the Olympics....

I will be looking to qualify for the individual 50 and 100 metres Freestyle, which over the past year have become a lot more competitive. Currently I am ranked 1^stfor both events with a few people breathing down my neck, so I won't be taking any chances. ...
