You'll need
Raw pine bookcase (see right)
Sandpaper
Undercoat sealer
Paint in colour of your choice and paintbrush
Tape measure, pencil, ruler, soft cloth
Wallpaper to match paint and wallpaper paste
Here's how
1 Remove shelves, sand and undercoat bookcase. Apply two coats of paint inside and out, including to the shelves but excluding inside back wall. Let dry. Drag white inside grooves.
2 Measure inside back wall and cut wallpaper to size. Apply wallpaper paste to back of paper using clean paintbrush, let sit for about five minutes or according to manufacturer's instructions. Adhere wallpaper to inside back wall and use a soft damp cloth to smooth out any air bubbles. Cut second sheet to width, butt up against first sheet and adhere in the same way, smoothing out any bubbles.
Let dry for 24 hours.
