Gather your supplies
34 balls (throw) and 6 balls (cushion) of Cleckheaton Country 8 ply or Country Naturals 8 ply (50g balls); one pair of 4.00mm knitting needles and a 4.00mm crochet hook for throw or the required size to give correct tension; cable needle; wool needle for sewing seams; 35cm square cushion insert

Tension: These items have been designed at a tension of 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.

Square 1
(Make 13 for throw or 3 for cushion)
Using 4.00mm needles cast on 27 sts.
Work rows 1 to 8 incl from Graph 1 or written instructions.
Rows 1 to 8 incl form patt for Square 1.
Rep rows 1 to 8 incl 3 times, then rows 1 to 4 incl once... 36 rows in all. Cast off.

Square 2
(Make 12 for throw or 2 for cushion)
Using 4.00mm needles cast on 33 sts.
Work rows 1 to 6 incl from Graph 2 or written instructions.
Rows 1 to 6 incl form patt for Square 2.
Rep rows 1 to 6 incl 4 times, then rows 1 to 5 incl once... 35 rows in all. Cast off in rib.

Square 3
(Make 14 for throw or 2 for cushion)
Using 4.00mm needles cast on 33 sts.
Work rows 1 to 8 incl from Graph 3 or written instructions.
Rows 1 to 8 incl form patt for Square 3.
Rep rows 1 to 8 incl 3 times, then rows 1 to 4 incl once... 36 rows in all. Cast off.

Square 4
(Make 12 for throw or 3 for cushion)
Using 4.00mm needles cast on 27 sts.
Work rows 1 to 14 incl from Graph 4 or written instructions.
Rows 3 to 14 incl form patt for Square 4.
Rep rows 3 to 14 incl twice, then rows 15 to 16 incl once... 40 rows in all. Cast off.

Square 5
(Make 12 for throw or 2 for cushion)
Using 4.00mm needles cast on 27 sts.
Work rows 1 to 4 incl from Graph 5 or written instructions.
Rows 1 to 4 incl form patt for Square 5.
Rep rows 1 to 4 incl 9 times, then rows 1 to 3 incl once... 43 rows in all.
Cast off purlways.

Square 6
(Make 12 for throw or 1 for cushion)
Using 4.00mm needles cast on 30 sts.
Work rows 1 to 12 incl from Graph 6 or written instructions.
Rows 1 to 12 incl form patt for Square 6.
Rep rows 1 to 12 incl twice... 36 rows in all. Cast off.

Square 7
(Make 11 for throw or 2 for cushion)
Using 4.00mm needles cast on 37 sts.
Work rows 1 to 22 incl from Graph 7 or written instructions.
Rep rows 3 to 18 once... 38 rows in all.
Cast off.

Square 8
(Make 13 for throw or 3 for cushion)
Using 4.00mm needles cast on 33 sts.
Work rows 1 and 2 from Graph 8 or written instructions.
Rows 1 and 2 form patt for Square 8.
Rep rows 1 and 2, 19 times... 40 rows in all. Cast off.

To make up: Sew squares tog following diagram (refer diagram). Using 4.00mm hook, work 6 rounds of dc around edge of rug, working 3dc in each corner and inc and dec where necessary to keep work even. Work 1 round 'Crab St'. Fasten off. Sew 3 sides of cushion together. Insert cushion insert. Join rem seam.

Hi,
i watch your show every week and on Foxtel whenever I have time. i would love to knit this throw rug so I bought that issue. However, i think one of my kids have thrown it out as i have been unable to find it. As such I would appreciate a graph copy emailed to me please?
