Gather your supplies
2 balls each of main colour (MC = 2271 - chocolate), 1st contrast (C1 = 2194 - green), 2nd contrast (C2 = 2256 - fawn), 3rd contrast (C3 = 0050 - cream) Cleckheaton Country 12 ply (50g balls); 5.50mm (No 5) crochet hook; wool needle for sewing seams; 36cm cushion insert

Tension: 13.5tr and 7.5 rows to 10cm over tr fabric. First 3 rounds of cushion should measure 8.5cm square. Check your tension before beginning to make sure the cushion will be the correct size.

Cushion (make 2 pieces)
Using 5.50mm (No 5) hook and MC, make 4ch, join with a sl st to form a ring.
1st Round: 3ch, 2tr in ring, * 1ch, 3tr in ring, rep from * twice, 1ch, sl st in 3rd ch at beg.
2nd Round: 4ch, (3tr, 1ch, 3tr) in first 1ch sp, * 1ch, (3tr, 1ch, 3tr) in next 1ch sp, rep from * once, 1ch, (3tr, 1ch, 2tr) in next 1ch sp, change to C1, sl st in 3rd ch at beg.
3rd Round: 3ch, 2tr in next 1ch sp, * 1 ch, (3tr, 1ch, 3tr) in next 1ch sp, 1ch, 3tr in next 1ch sp, rep from * twice, 1ch, (3tr, 1ch, 3tr) in next 1ch sp, 1ch, sl st in 3rd ch at beg.
4th Round: 4ch, 3tr in first 1ch sp, 1ch, (3tr, 1ch, 3tr) in next 1ch sp, * (1ch, 3tr in next 1ch sp) twice, 1ch, (3tr, 1ch, 3tr) in next 1ch sp, rep from * twice, 1ch, 2tr in next 1ch sp, change to C2, sl st in 3rd ch at beg.
5th Round: 3ch, 2tr in first 1ch sp, * (1ch, 3tr) in each 1ch sp to corner, 1ch, (3tr, 1ch, 3tr) in corner 1ch sp, rep from * 3 times, (1ch, 3tr) in each 1ch sp to end, 1ch, sl st in 3rd ch at beg.
6th Round: 4ch, 3tr in next 1ch sp, * (1ch, 3tr) in each 1ch sp to corner, 1ch, (3tr, 1ch, 3tr) in corner 1ch sp, rep from * 3 times, (1ch, 3tr) in each 1ch sp to last 1ch sp, 1ch, 2tr in last 1ch sp, change to C3, sl st in 3rd ch at beg.
Rep last 2 rounds 4 times, working in stripes of 2 rounds C3, 2 rounds MC, 2 rounds C1 and 2 rounds C2.
Fasten off.

To make up: Using a flat seam, join sides, adding cushion insert before stitching final side.
