This easy-to-make foldaway furniture can be set up and put away at a moment's notice.
Outdoor furniture is great when entertaining, but what if you don't have room in the yard to keep a table and seats? This trestle table and matching seats may be the answer.
When they're not needed, they can be folded away and stored flat against a wall, in the garage, under the house, in fact, almost anywhere. They are less than half-a-metre wide, so you can set them up indoors when you need to.
They're simple to make, take about a day to build and you'll need the barest of tools and supplies: pine you can buy at any timber yard, tape, pencil, handsaw, cordless screwdriver and sanding block. A brush and paint would be handy when it is finished.
Which timber? When selecting timber for a project, make sure it's suitable. As this trestle table and seat are not meant to be stored outdoors, ordinary radiata pine is fine. If you want them to stay outside, use pre-primed LOSP pine - it is preservative-treated and finished smooth ready to paint.
