It's a clever way to save shelf space, and they're close at hand when you want to make a cuppa!

Here's how:
1. Measure and mark 135mm, 250mm and 365mm from the base of the post on two edges. At these points, drill 15mm dowel holes sloping down at 20 degrees to a depth of 15mm. Cut a 25mm-square x 20mm-long tenon on the base of the post, as in the figure.

2. Drill a 25mm hole in the centre of the base and, with a sharp chisel, make the hole 25mm square. Shape the base or keep it square, depending on your preference.

3. Glue the post in place with epoxy. Add the pegs, then sand and finish with a light coating of vegetable cooking oil.
