2 x 2.5cm buttons
40cm (size 16) cushion insert
Matching thread
Here's how1. Cut fabric 42 x 103cm (this includes a 1cm seam allowance).
2. At each short end, press a 1cm turning, then a 7cm hem towards the wrong side of the fabric.
3. Machine-stitch the hem using straight stitch.
4. Machine buttonholes at one end and sew buttons on at the other.
5. Fold cushion length, right sides facing into three - 22.5cm, 40cm and 29.5cm long. Stitch both side seams with 1cm seam and overcast raw edges to neaten.
6. Turn to right sides and fill with cushion insert.
Hints- Some Indian checked cottons may need washing before sewing, just in case there is some shrinkage. Just ask your fabric seller.
